For all of us at ADCO, a new year means new deadlines, starting with the 2009 ADDY Award entries! With January 6 (the deadline for entering…eek!) quickly approaching, things are busy, and everyone here at ADCO is bustling and hustling in a massive effort to get the submissions ready by the deadline.

In this fast-paced environment, it’s only natural that obstacles keep popping up. Submission envelopes have to be specially ordered. New DVDs are burned and then mysteriously won’t play on certain computers. Samples that were ear-marked for submission months ago keep disappearing. But by far the toughest task is deciding which pieces to submit to the competition. Every print ad, TV spot, website and campaign is unique, and deciding between them is nearly impossible. Undaunted, your ADCO team drives on, determined to submit the best of the best.

Needless to say, gathering the submissions and turning them in on time is only half of the battle. Once that’s all done, we have to remain patient until we know the results. So the ADDYs Award Gala can’t come soon enough, and we’ll all be holding our breath until then. Excitement and anticipation are already running rampant (just from picking out our potential winners), and we still have 2 ½ months to go before we find out the winners! We wish all of our competitors the best of luck, but we wish even more luck for ourselves. Hopefully, on March 14th we’ll be sitting back, relaxing, and counting gold statues…
